The Foundation
The Valentino Bucchi Foundation, recognized by Decree of the President of the Italian Republic of 17 April 1990, upon proposal of the Minister for Cultural Heritage, constitutes a direct emanation of the Valentino Bucchi Musical Association, founded in 1977, after the death of the Florentine composer (1916-1976) to whom it is dedicated.
Since 1978, the Association first and then the Foundation organized the Valentino Bucchi Prize annually in Rome, international performance and composition competitions for young musicians.

Our History
The Valentino Bucchi Musical Association is founded
Shortly after the death of the Florentine composer (1916-1976), the Valentino Bucchi Musical Association, after which it is named, was founded in Rome.
Valentino Bucchi Prize
The Association first and then the Foundation organize the Valentino Bucchi Prize annually in Rome, international performance and composition competitions for young musicians.
