Privacy Policy

This privacy policy, provided pursuant to and for the purposes of Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679, is intended to provide you with the necessary information regarding the purposes and methods of processing your personal data.

  1. Data Controller

The Data Controller is the Valentino Bucchi Foundation, represented by its legal representative, with registered office at Via Ubaldino Peruzzi, 20 - 00139 Rome.

  1. Scope

The provisions of this Privacy Policy apply to data provided by Participants, Collaborators, Partners, and Suppliers.

  1. Object of processing

Personal data is information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, an ID number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that natural person.

Data rendered anonymous or in aggregate form so that it no longer allows the identification of a specific natural person, even in combination with other information or otherwise, is not considered personal.

The personal data processed by the Valentino Bucchi Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the "Foundation") relate to Bucchi Prize Contestants, Employees, Collaborators, Partners, and Suppliers (hereinafter referred to as the "data subjects").

  1. Purposes and legal bases of processing

The personal data provided will be used for the following purposes:

  • NECESSARY PROVISION

in relation to contractual obligations between the parties

  • for preliminary requirements prior to the stipulation of sales, collaboration, or purchase contracts, to follow up on them, and to protect the resulting credit positions;
  • for technical requirements for accessing the website;
  • to respond to requests for information from Bucchi Prize entrants, sent by telephone, email, letter, or web form;

in relation to legal obligations

  • to fulfill all obligations related to civil, tax, and accounting regulations
  • for all obligations arising from the stipulation of contracts and/or participation in competitions organized by the Foundation, including the sending of commercial invoices by email

The provision of data for the purposes referred to in point 4.1 is mandatory for registration via the online form for international competitions organized by the Foundation (without it, it is not possible to proceed with the SERVICES).

  • OPTIONAL PROVISION

In relation to the contact us service

  • to respond to requests for information from competitors or potential competitors, sent by telephone, Email, letter, or web form

In relation to marketing activities

  • Carry out marketing, commercial information, and promotional activities, including sending newsletters and advertising materials.

The provision of data for the purposes referred to in point 4.2 is optional. You will therefore be asked to provide specific consent, without prejudice to the right to withdraw it at any time (without prejudice to the lawfulness of the previous processing). If you refuse, there will be no consequences, other than our inability to send you the requested information and/or inform you about innovations or commercial initiatives relating to our products and/or services.

We also specify that we do not possess "sensitive" data, as defined in Article 4, paragraph 1, letter d) of Legislative Decree 196/03.

  1. Methodology and duration of processing

The processing will be carried out using manual and/or computerized and electronic tools, as well as on paper, with organizational and processing logics strictly related to the purposes themselves and in any case in a way that guarantees the security, integrity, and confidentiality of the data in compliance with the organizational, physical, and logical measures required by current legislation.

The processing of personal data carried out by the Valentino Bucchi Foundation depends on the data subject:

  1. Users: Participants in the "Premio Bucchi" international competitions; types of data and processing performed:
    1. Personal and accounting data: administrative and tax obligations
    2. Email address, name: communications and/or information relating to the "Premio Bucchi" international competitions
  2. Competitors: Participants in the "Premio Bucchi" international competitions; types of data and processing performed:
    1. Personal and accounting data: administrative and tax obligations
    2. Email address, telephone numbers, postal address, nationality, residence, date and place of birth: communications and information relating to the services provided by the Foundation and/or the "Premio Bucchi" international competitions.
  3. Suppliers; Types of data and processing performed:
    1. Personal and accounting data: administrative and tax obligations

Personal data will be processed for the time strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in point 4.

  • Personal and accounting data, necessary to comply with legal provisions relating to contractual obligations, will be retained for the period required by law.
  • Data required for information and communications will be retained until consent is revoked.

All personal data processed is protected by appropriate security measures to ensure the protection, integrity, and confidentiality of the data in compliance with the organizational, physical, and logical measures required by applicable law.

We may disclose your information to trusted third parties for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

Members and Collaborators may access the data in Valentino Bucchi Foundation's information system, subject to limitations. to the areas of your competence: access is permitted upon entering your credentials (username and password).

  1. Minors

Our SERVICES are not intended for minors under the age of 16, who should therefore not provide personal data to the Valentino Bucchi Foundation. If the Valentino Bucchi Foundation discovers that it has collected personal data from users under the age of 16, it will take the necessary measures to delete such information as soon as possible.

  1. Disclosure of data

The personal data collected may be disclosed, within their specific jurisdiction, to:

As provided for by Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679, we inform you that you have the right to ask the Data Controller for confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you is being processed and to:

  • obtain access to personal data (Article 15) and rectification (Article 16) or erasure (Article 17), or restriction of processing (Article 18);
  • receive notification from the Data Controller following any rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing (Article 19), unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort;
  • ask the Data Controller to receive the personal data you have provided directly to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. mechanically and store them on a device available to them for subsequent personal use and/or request that they be transferred to a different controller (Article 20);
  • Revoke consent at any time (Article 21) without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its revocation;
